Aldo van den Nieuwelaar design

Vintage Home was dealer of the newly edited original 1968 Vintage edition of the famous TC6 (Tubular Collection) Circle-light. The steel body is newly sprayed in the original off-white lacquer, the electrical parts inside are all new and the tubular neon is the original 1970's. This last edition of the wonderful Dutch design classic is part of several design museums worldwide, such as the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam and the Berlin Staatsliches Museum.

Acquired from the designer himself; the unique prototype of a wall light sculpture that was supposed to be part of the "outline series" of which two finally came in production. The collection was bought worldwide by the biggest modern art museums like the MoMa and LAcMa. This one has never made it in production, it is a one of a kind prototype - marked "Nila" and signed Aldo van den Nieuwelaar designer" on the backside. Measurements 1m25 high x 1m20 wide.
